2021 New Hires & Promotions

Carol Long, Opsis’s Marketing Director, was promoted to the role of Principal. As a business development and marketing strategist, Carol brings 30 years of experience to the Opsis team. She served as Marketing Director at Opsis from 2001 to 2006, returning in 2018 to work with the leadership team to guide pursuits and set a path for achieving the design and business goals of the firm.

Carol is a graduate of Linfield College, and recently earned a graduate certificate in Real Estate Development through Portland State University’s Center for Real Estate.

Elisa Ahn, AIA, joins Opsis as an Associate and Project Manager and will oversee Opsis’s work with a major federal client. Elisa holds a Master’s degree in architecture from the University of British Columbia and most recently served as the development team’s manager for the Meyer Memorial Trust’s Headquarters Building in Portland. Elisa practiced as an architect for a decade in Vancouver BC and the San Francisco area across a broad range of product types including office, residential, student housing, civic, mixed-use and master planning.

Amy Fashimpar, AIA, LEED AP BD+C joins Opsis with 15 years of experience, most recently at EHDD in San Francisco, working on civic, cultural, educational and office designs. At Opsis, Amy will join the project team working on Salem-Keizer School District projects. Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Architecture from UC Berkeley.

Kate O’Neil is Opsis’s new Project Coordinator, supporting design teams on major new projects. Kate comes from Axium Custom Products where she managed creative projects from start to finish. Kate has a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Fine Arts from Winona State University, Winona, Minnesota.

Nick Hindman joined Opsis as Accounting Assistant. Nick has a Master’s Degree of Education and Bachelor of Arts in English from PSU. He most recently worked at Travel Oregon as Operations Coordinator and before that at King Cycle Group and Powell’s Books.
