From Lovejoy to Main – Opsis makes the jump across the Willamette
Opsis is excited to announce that we’re hopping the river to the Central Eastside! Our new home at the Custom Blocks (at 975 SE Main) will be a light-filled studio for our staff, celebrating the original old growth timber bowstring truss roof, reflecting and expanding our deep commitment to sustainability. This is also an opportunity to re-envision a modern way of working that combines in person, hybrid and collaborative environments, making the most of each.
Opsis is currently completing a tenant improvement of the new studio and pursuing the International Living Future Institute’s Core Green Building Certification. With the accountability of a performance-based standard, ILFI Core includes elements that nurture the innate connection between humans and nature. Our new home will support our staff with a thriving work environment focused on wellbeing, mentorship and spaces that foster our collective focus on design excellence.
As we enter this next chapter, the Custom Blocks studio serves as a reimagined space where collaboration, connection and innovation can thrive. Opsis is also thrilled to join this tight-knit neighborhood and offer our staff a ride score of 100, a walkability rating of 94 and access to a vibrant mix of amenities and businesses that reflect our commitment to local craft, arts, and an array of up-and-coming local businesses. After 25 years in Northwest Portland, we remain committed to the economic and cultural vitality of the City of Portland and the ongoing development of the Central Eastside district. Look for our opening in mid-July!
