Twenty years ago, Alec Holser, Jim Kalvelage and James Meyer got together for drinks. It was late afternoon, early summer, and the three envisioned a firm with the energy of their architecture school studios; working collaboratively with clients and setting a standard in the region for design excellence. With no real plan, no clients, their personal credit cards and lots of support from family and friends they jumped in head-first. With a lot of determination and some luck, the idea of Opsis Architecture took off and has never slowed.
Opsis Architecture (Opsis) announces that founding partner Jim Kalvelage has been elevated by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) to the College of Fellows.
