Puyallup Master Plan

Pierce College

Pierce College Puyallup sits on 123 acres of mostly wooded land in the growing area of eastern Pierce County. The campus opened in 1990 and is planning a steady growth of facilities to an ultimate build-out of about 300,000 sf of space in 12 buildings. The plan places particular emphasis on creating a pedestrian-friendly campus with traditional green quads formed by the placement of new buildings.

Size: 123 acres
Location: Puyallup, WA

A new loop roadway is planned along with a second campus entry to the north. The Master Plan was developed to improve campus aesthetics, preserve valuable natural site features, meet required space needs and coherently plan facility upgrades so that future projects support the campus character and mission.

A diverse committee of administration, students, staff and faculty participated in a series of workshops to identify goals, programs and anticipated needs that the master plan responds to. The plan was developed as a framework for future growth with a high degree of flexibility to accommodate changing needs during the next 10 to 15 years.
