Senior Project Manager

Opsis is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. This person will offer great skills to lead and support project teams alongside our Principals. The ideal candidate combines a strong design sensibility with the leadership and strategic mindset necessary to successfully manage complex projects.

In this role, the Senior Project Manager serves as a key representative of Opsis, from pursuits through project completion, balancing the needs of both clients and the design team. They must excel in budgeting, scheduling, staffing, project planning, and mentorship—while prioritizing exceptional client care.

Key skill sets and abilities

• Proven success in architectural project management, including direct client and contractor collaboration
• Ability to lead project teams, communicating expectations and ideas clearly, and the organizational skill set to manage project scope, budget, and timelines effectively
• Ability to effectively present to clients, facilitate and guide project discussions, and manage communication across internal and external teams
• A passion for fostering a collaborative and thoughtful design process, with an understanding of the value and power of collaborative design
• Ability and desire to lead projects with a degree of independence commensurate with the size and complexity of the project

Requirements include

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture
• Proficiency in the software and technologies that support architects to excel
• 10+ years’ experience in a professional architectural practice
• Architectural License

Preferred attributes

• Experience or specialization in community recreation, sports and athletics, higher education, K-12 education, student housing, and performing arts
• DBIA accreditation and Progressive Design Build experience
• LEED Accreditation or a strong interest in sustainable design
• A fundamental commitment to justice, equity, diversity, inclusion and the power and potential of architecture to be a catalyst in the creation of a more open, empathetic, and regenerative society
