Proposal Manager/Senior Marketing Coordinator

Who we’re looking for:

The ideal candidate for this role is a marketing writer with a talent for organizing team pursuits around clear and convincing messaging. You are an exceptional writer with a passion for design, an enthusiastic interest in the architecture and design profession, and experience guiding a team of busy design professionals through the proposal development process. As the lead writer setting the tone of the Opsis voice, you’ll work closely with our visual branding expert to collaboratively articulate the Opsis brand through a wide range of communication and media. You’ll join our team of two, welcoming innovative ideas, new perspectives and a collaborative approach to sharing the workload at this busy practice.

Opsis is currently working remotely and this position will be a “work from home” role until COVID conditions allow a return to our studio. Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools such as Bluebeam Revu and Miro are a plus, as is confidence working within an MS Teams platform.

Key Tasks:

The Proposal Manager/Senior Marketing Coordinator will work with internal clients throughout the firm and others on the Marketing team to manage the development of proposal pursuits. In this capacity, this individual will be responsible for:

Organizing, supporting and directing pursuit teams throughout the proposal development process

Independent development of proposal content, where appropriate

Consultant coordination

Development of drafts, including coordination of internal reviews

As needed by Marketing Director, support interview preparation

Participation in post-proposal debrief/follow up (internal and external)

As the lead writer on the marketing team, you will serve as steward of our written content, including collateral material, award submittals, press releases, case studies, web and social media content.

Qualifications: 

Exceptional writing / editing / proofreading skills, with a knack for shaping content for a wide array of audience types

Excellent and proactive communicator

Highly organized, detail oriented and thorough

Proficiency in MS Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. InDesign mastery required. Knowledge of Deltek, Bluebeam, Miro are helpful.

Ability to effectively interact with a wide array of technical and strategic contributors

Five (5) years’ experience in marketing and proposal-based pursuits for a professional service firm. (A/E/C preferred), from proposal kick off through interview preparation, Recent, relevant experience in a position centered around writing and content development is a must

Ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing demands to meet deadline constraints

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English or related disciplines
