Opsis is looking for an Interior Designer with 3-5 years of experience to work on a wide variety of project types. Opsis takes great pride in our projects and believes that great environments are created by integrated and engaged design teams. Candidates should anticipate working directly with architectural staff as well as interior design staff on multiple aspects of the design. We hope to find an individual who shares our passion for this work, to fill a full-time position in our dynamic Portland studio.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program with minimum of three years’ experience in a professional office. Requires basic knowledge of programming and functional analysis as well as knowledge of space planning principles.  Applies design principles in development and preparation of presentation drawings.  Requires ability to interpret plans and specifications and knowledge of interior code requirements, construction administration procedures and electrical/HVAC systems. The position will be the contact for product representatives, manage the interiors library and perform materials research.


Requirements include:

Strong design skills.

Basic knowledge of building codes and standards.

Revit skills required.

Ability to work on multiple assignments and deadlines.

Ability to work within a team structure including Architects and Consultants.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Strong presentation skills.

Knowledge of materials and contract furniture.

LEED Accreditation preferred.
