At the new Student Services building and Bill Brod Community Center refresh project, Clackamas Community College will provide a one-stop resource destination for new students learning to navigate college success while balancing other life commitments. Recognizing that the experience for students arriving on campus for the first time in an unfamiliar and often intimidating environment, the design goal was to create an environment that is warm, inviting, uplifting, comfortable and stress-mitigating.

The final project of the $90M Bond passed in 2014, Opsis designed the Student Services building as the first of two phases (the second of which will be part of a future bond). We master planned and designed both phases through schematic design and completed the design of phase one for construction. During design we applied Opsis’s real-time cost estimating process, which has resulted in on-budget cost estimates throughout the entire process.

With an anticipated completion date of August 2021, the building’s on-campus student services will include: College Success and Career Workshops, Veterans’ Services, Disability Resource Center, Counseling, Childcare and more.
