In November 2018, the Eugene community approved a bond measure which included a $135M replacement of the existing  1957 North Eugene High School. The Opsis and Rowell Brokaw team was selected to design a new facility to support 1,200 students with modern teaching and learning activities, including dedicated space for career technical education and access to health services.  With preliminary programming underway, the new high school is scheduled to open in 2023.

After the new school is built, the current NEHS building will be renovated to house other programs.
